Videos to spark a little thought... Here are a few samples of basic project templates!
One of the things I love about technology is listening to the computer read my words in these videos. Symytry is completely mispronounced as 'Sy-my-try' instead of 'symmetry,' which is correct, but it doesn't see my company name pronounced that way.
These videos will give you a wide sampling of visual tools for project & program management. There are a bunch of them and I'll be adding to them a lot.
Take a look at this Scope & Discovery template. Start at 1:00 and go clockwise. If it were a live map, you would fill in the blanks as you traverse each node. When you're finished, you'll have a fully formatted MS Word Scope & Discovery document that can be discussed with the team and the client. When you reach agreement on the accuracy of its content, the client will sign off.
The important takeaways are; everyone has taken part in the collaboration process and added ideas (consulting team and client), everyone knows each others input and responsibilities, transfer quickly to an MS Office document fully formatted, no or fewer loose ends, holes or oversights are identified and discussed / closed quickly, saved over 20% of the time spent on other methods.
Once complete, save to SharePoint for all parties to view either in map form, or in Word. Then, for the next client project, much of what was learned can be reused. In other words... rinse and repeat.
